Dr. Lauren Ford-Siltz is a Staff Fellow at the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research at the US Food and Drug Administration, where she has been working since 2016. She received her PhD in Veterinary Medical Sciences at the University of Maryland, where she studied the mechanisms of action of small molecule inhibitors of picornaviruses. Currently, she has been working on elucidating the genetic and antigenic relationships of the human norovirus genotypes using bioinformatics, immunoassays, and the human intestinal enteroids cell culture system. She is also interested in the B and T cell responses upon norovirus infection and the effects of different adjuvants on the immune system upon vaccination.
